Farr finishes 2016 strongly in Australia

Ollie Farr from Burghill Valley GC, finished off  2016 by finishing tied 21st at the Australian PGA at the RACV Royal Pines Resort in Queensland, this event was the first event on the 2017 Race To Dubai. Rounds of 69,73,70 and 72 saw him finish on 4 under par.

Stuart Manley also made the cut in the event, finishing on 1 over par after rounds of 74,71,75 and 69.

American Harold Varner became the first US player to win the Australin PGA Championship since Hale Irwin in 1978

Michael Hoey who represents Galgorm Castle, played in Alfred Dunhill Championship at Leopard Creek in South Africa, this event also counted towards to the 2017 Race To Dubai, rounds of 69,71,70 and 75 saw him finish T37, the event was won by South Africa's Brandon Stone

Hoey and Manley in Morocco

Michael Hoey and Stuart Manley both are playing in the Trophee Hassan 11 in Rabat, Morocco this week at the stunning Royal Golf Dar Es Salam.

Michael Hoey, who represents Galgorm Golf Club won the event in 2012, posting a brilliant 19 under par in the last 3 rounds after an opening round of 74.

Hoey returns to action in Thailand

Michael Hoey who plays out of Galgorm Castle in Northern Ireland, returns to action at the True Thailand Classic Presented by Chang Black Mountain GC this week. Hoey who  represents Sphere Global on the tour, plays the next 2 weeks on the Race To Dubai, this week at Black Mountain, he then moves on to India for the Hero Indian Open.

Fraser, Manley, Hoey all playing in ISPS Handa Perth International

Fresh from his stunning victory at the Maybank Championship Marcus Fraser plays in the ISPS Handa Perth International, also playing are fellow BlackStar golfers Stuart Manley and  Michael Hoey.

The event is played at the Lake Karrinyup Country Club in Perth, Western Australia from February 25th- 28th.

Hoey keeps European Tour card for 7th consecutive season

Michael Hoey, who represents Galgorm Castle Golf Club in Northern Ireland finished his 2015 season in Turkey last week by finishing 88th in the 2015 Race To Dubai. Hoey has played 29 events this year, making 20 cuts and has a stroke average of 71.25, it is the 7th consecutive year that he has succesfully regained his full playing privileges on the European Tour.

Although the 2016 European Tour season begins in South Africa later this month, Hoey, who is sponsored by Sphere Global will start his new campaign in January at the South African Open at the Glendower Golf Club in early January.
